Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of brucegjonesdds.com (the “Site”), operated by Bruce G. Jones Dentistry, 30 W Norton Ave, Muskegon, MI 49444 (“the practice”, “we”, “us”). By visiting the Site or submitting a form, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. The Site Provides General Information, Not Dental Advice

Articles, service descriptions, FAQs and videos on the Site are general oral health education. They are not a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a substitute for an examination by a licensed dentist who knows your history. Dental conditions vary from person to person; always consult Dr. Jones or another licensed dentist about your own teeth, and never delay or stop treatment because of something you read here.

2. Emergencies

If you have a dental emergency during office hours, call (231) 780-5158. If you have facial swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding, or an injury to the jaw, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Website forms are not monitored for emergencies.

3. Appointment Requests

Submitting a form on the Site is a request, not a confirmed appointment. An appointment exists only when our office contacts you to confirm a date and time. Please give us at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule so the time can be offered to another patient.

4. No Patient Relationship Through the Site

Reading the Site or sending us a message does not make you a patient of the practice and does not create a dentist-patient relationship. That relationship begins when you are examined at our office and we agree to treat you.

5. New Patient Paperwork and Electronic Signatures

When you complete new patient paperwork online, you confirm that the information is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge, that you are the patient or the patient’s parent or legal guardian, and that your typed or drawn signature has the same effect as a handwritten signature under the federal E-SIGN Act and the Michigan Uniform Electronic Transactions Act.

6. Communications

By providing a phone number or email address you agree that we may contact you about your request, appointments and care by phone, voicemail, text message or email. Standard message and data rates may apply to texts; reply STOP to opt out at any time. Email and text are not fully secure channels; do not send detailed health information through them unless you accept that risk.

7. Insurance and Fees

Statements on the Site about accepted insurance plans, including Delta Dental, describe plans we commonly work with and are not a guarantee of coverage. Your benefits depend on your individual plan. Fees quoted on the Site, such as program pricing, may change without notice; the fee in your treatment plan controls.

8. Intellectual Property

The text, photographs, graphics, logos, videos and page designs on the Site are owned by Bruce G. Jones Dentistry or used under license, and are protected by United States copyright and trademark law. You may view, download and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction, distribution, scraping or use requires our prior written permission. Patient photographs and testimonials appear with the patient’s permission and may not be reused.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: submit false or misleading information; use another person’s identity; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its forms or its servers; introduce malware; interfere with the Site’s operation; use automated tools to collect data from the Site; or use the Site for any unlawful purpose. We may block access to anyone who violates these Terms.

10. Third-Party Links and Content

The Site links to outside resources such as the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, Delta Dental, Google Maps and YouTube for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

11. Reviews and Testimonials

Testimonials on the Site reflect the experiences of individual patients and are not a promise of a particular result. Google review excerpts are quoted from public Google reviews and link to the full source.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bruce G. Jones Dentistry and its owner, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for professional dental services rendered at our office, which is governed by Michigan law and our patient agreements.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the practice and its staff from claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

15. Accessibility

16. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Muskegon County, Michigan, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting a new version with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

18. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy and, for patients, the HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices are the entire agreement about your use of the Site.
